Zaycon Chicken

Zaycon Foods has high quality fresh meats that you buy in bulk.  Right now they are selling chicken for $1.69 lb.  It comes in 40 lb. boxes that are divided into 10 pound bags so you could easily share a box.  The breasts are whole, boneless, and skinless.  I cut mine in halves, trim the fat and freeze them.

Read through their info for how it works.  I have bought from them several times and have been happy with the product.

DeAnn Steele is ordering and you could coordinate with her so everyone doesn't drive down.

They also have a referral program where anyone you refer earns you one dollar every time they order.

Here's a link to their site.

I just wanted to share a great blog that I found.  It is a family of six who eat meals for less than $10 per day.  This link is her dinner recipes.  Scroll down to see the Dinner recipe section and let me know if you try any.

Dehydrated & Freeze Dried

Did you know that Walmart has a whole wall of dehydrated and freeze dried foods in #10 cans?
Many of these items have a 20+ shelf life in proper conditions.  I have tasted Augason Farm's Morning Moo and it is great.  These items are located between the chip and soda sections by the warehouse doors.
