Deer Island Farms

 

Hi, I had a good and safe week at scout camp last week.  I am now ready to get back on the road to bring you good stuff from Yakima and beyond. Delivery will be Saturday, July 20.  I am not planning a delivery for July 27 but will be making my next delivery on Saturday, August 3.  This week is probably the only time I will be offering apricots as the season will soon be over. Blueberries  From Wapato, Washington. The farm has never used pesticides on their bushes.  $28 for approx. 9 lb flat   From Woodland, Washington.  The farm uses a fungicide on the bushes before they bloom.   $42 for a 20 lb. box.

Apricots - Rival or Goldrich depending on which variety is ready towards the end of the week.  Both varieties are very similar and are good for fresh eating, freezing, canning and drying.
